Should be able to use the '@' sign to set a reminder back to that object

I create content. I would like to see all my posts / videos / podcasts in a calendar view, using different fields depending on what I need to see. (due date, publishing date, editor delivery date, etc) Tana just implemented this and it's great to replace tools as ClickUp, Asana, Trello, Monday and Notion that are widely used for content planning. Capacities can do much better!

Sync Capacities with Apple Calendar

I think it would be a great addition to have Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, and Yearly Notes along with the Daily Notes interface. For example, by pressing the number buttons above the calendar to create one.

It would be great to have the option for forwarded emails to be saved to their own unique object type in addition to the current functionality of appending them to the Daily Notes.

Would love to be able to lock a page to prevent editing, it's annoyingly easy to accidentally create a new line break and a shortcut-toggled page lock would take care of that. Even better if locking at the block/item level was an option.

I might be jumping ahead of myself here, but would ideally like an option where I can see posts "on this day." Retrieving thoughts/notes from memory archives is always a good way to fire up networked thoughts.

It would be great for a reminder/notification to appear at a specific time for a task, ideally for Android/iOS but also desktop and web.

It would be great if I could roll back a note by 15mins-1h whilst i'm working on it in case I delete something I wanted to keep.

Add tags hierarchy so we can tag items very granuarly like #recipe/breakfast and #recipe/dinner which can all be viewed under #recipe.

My work flow throughout the day has been to capture info as quickly as possible. Currently I have created a TickTick quick tile on my Pixel. So even with the phone still locked, I can swipe down, click the tile, capture an idea. It's quick and easy and I can do it when I drive, am walking, or even feeding my little toddler for dinner. But because I have been trying to create my second brain within Capacities, this always means then transferring those quick captures here. So a quick tile and/or widget would really be great. A widget would probably be the more likely way to go on mobile because they can be created for Android and iOS users.

I would love to be able to take handwritten notes / draw directly in the app, or even on embeded medias, and to draw links between differant objects

Sync Capacities with the CalDAV standard

Capacities currently lacks a dedicated callout block for visually and semantically highlighting important content (e.g., notes, warnings, definitions). Quote styling is a possible workaround, but this is not semantically explicit and does not provide consistent visual differentiation. Suggestion: Introduce a native Callout block with: – Predefined types (Info, Note, Warning, Important, Example, Definition) – Subtle background styling or accent border – Optional icon support – Full nesting capability – Compatibility with object references (@objects) – Proper Markdown/HTML export support A structured callout block would significantly improve readability and documentation quality in longer knowledge objects. It would also align Capacities with established PKM editing standards.

First, I want to say that I'm a big fan of what you're building. Capacities has one of the most compelling visions in the PKM space, and I think you've managed to solve information modeling in a way that very few tools have. That's exactly why I'm taking the time to write detailed feedback—I genuinely want to see the product succeed. One general thought before diving into specifics: I feel the core feature set is already in a very good place. Personally, I'd prioritize performance, usability, and polish over introducing new features. The app is beginning to feel feature-rich enough that UX should become the primary focus. For a note-taking app, the experience of capturing and editing information is the product. Performance & Responsiveness Cold startup is noticeably slow. Creating a new note requires multiple steps and loading screens. The editor frequently takes time to become interactive. The editor occasionally becomes unresponsive. Pasting certain content (especially links) sometimes doesn't work correctly. Overall, the app feels less responsive than a native iOS application. Editing Experience There is no "Select All" option. Having to manually select individual blocks is tedious. Block-based selection often gets in the way of quick editing. Basic editing operations require more interactions than expected. Capture Workflow This is probably the biggest pain point. Capturing ideas should be almost instantaneous. Today, by the time I: Launch the app,Wait for it to open,Tap "+",Choose what I want to create,Wait for the page,Wait again for the editor, I've often already lost my train of thought—or switched to Apple Notes or Simplenote because I simply needed to capture something immediately. The capture flow should feel closer to "thought → captured" in a second or two. Missing Native iOS Integrations I'd love to see more investment in quick capture, for example: Home Screen widgets. Lock Screen widgets. Shortcuts integration. Quick Actions from the app icon. Better Share Sheet support. A lightweight Quick Capture entry point. Better support for system automation. These capabilities are essential for any app aspiring to become someone's primary knowledge base. Other Mobile UX Improvements Better editor reliability. Smoother scrolling. Faster navigation. Better offline feedback. More native-feeling iOS interactions. I truly believe improving speed, responsiveness, and capture would have a bigger impact than adding another major feature. If users can't capture ideas effortlessly, they won't build the habit of relying on the app, regardless of how powerful it is.
