Feature Ideas
Submit TicketFolders and Nested collections.
I am just testing Capacities, I like the backlinks and flexibility and multiple tags, however why NOT allow the folders anyway. Say I am working on saving stuff from a book. I want to create a collection with the Book name, then have a NESTED page inside with the chapter name and a Nested page inside with the content. And I want to collapse it all so that on the side bar I only have 1 collection with the BOOK's title for cleanliness of the view. The book has hundreds of chapters and pages inside. Without Nesting and collapsing into each other I will end up having EITHER a ton of UNSORTED pages within a Collection (with the book's name) - without the ability of sorting them into a chapter or visa versa tons of Collections under PAGES with the book chapters (and pages inside those chapters) But these may not be the only collections under PAGES, this way if each chapter is a collection and I can't nest things ( as folders ) i will end up with a million of the collections under PAGES of million of objects ( if I create a book as an object. Everything you have is grate but why take away features that work say in Notion, and let people that want more have more like ho capacity is structured. Why not have the BEST of BOTH worlds...

Manual Sort
Similar to Notion's grouping by sorting functionality, I think there should be other ways to sort aside from alphabetical (asc/desc). For example, visual ⭐ ratings or statuses may not be sorted in this fashion.

Hiding or Archive a page or element
For pages that may no longer be relevant, it would be great to remove them from view either in an Archive form or a Hidden feature.

Nested Tags / Hierarchy for tags
Add tags hierarchy so we can tag items very granuarly like #recipe/breakfast and #recipe/dinner which can all be viewed under #recipe.

Apple calendar support in Calendar Integrations
Sync Capacities with Apple Calendar

Reminders for Tasks
Should be able to use the '@' sign to set a reminder back to that object

OCR & Handwritten search
It might be a niche feature, but one that is not that common for PKMs, so it might be a good competitive edge. Personally, I know I have a huge amount of handwritten notes I'd like to make searchable into my knowledge tool, and so far there is only really Evernote that does it (or Onenote, but..).

Drag and drop as general UI principle
Drag and drop seems one of those things that one normally expects as basic principle of current day apps. Greatly, Capacities by now allows for some d'n'd in the left & right side panels, blocks in objects, and for import (once the modal is opened). There are some more areas / contexts within UI-architecture where it would be a welcome feature; and a catchup with native OS apps, really. So, I'd like to propose / ask that there is a general commitment to have a general drag and drop principle implemented in Capacities (– even if this technically breaks down to individual steps of implementation) There is a host of requests for d'n'd here on the board, and I feel this really should be seen as one effort; as it concerns a principle of UI that one is used to by now. – In that respect, I feel, it belongs to the area where CAP still needs to catch up, and which should somewhat be prioritized over adding new feature sets and build extensions of the core capacities. for reference 👉 https://capacities.io/feedback/p/import-via-drag-drop https://capacities.io/feedback/p/drag-block-to-other-page https://capacities.io/feedback/p/drag-and-drop-for-sub-pages-in-sidebar https://capacities.io/feedback/p/allow-drag-drop-in-daily-notes-day-view https://capacities.io/feedback/p/tagging-via-drag-and-drop https://capacities.io/feedback/p/drag-and-drop-items-into-collections-in-dashboard-view https://capacities.io/feedback/p/allow-drag-and-drop-of-supported-file-types-to-dock-icon https://capacities.io/feedback/p/drag-and-drop-between-properties

Whiteboard / Mindmap / Canvas / Drawing
The ability to connect multiple entities on a whiteboard and add free text. The whiteboard itself is also an entity and has it's own database. A good implementation is Heptabase.

Merge Items and Tags
I have created some objects which are very similar or tags which cover the same area. It would be good if we can merge the tags, items to a single one. The content of a page could then just be appended.

Allow multiple types in entity property for custom types
When creating a custom type, you get the option to add a new property of any type of database (ie page, weblink, etc) or content (text, number, etc). however, sometimes it could be desirable to have a poperty that can link to any item in any or some selected databases. For example, adding a "source" property to a note should allow to choose a weblink, audio, image, or custom type. and not limited to one type only.

Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Yearly Notes
I think it would be a great addition to have Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, and Yearly Notes along with the Daily Notes interface. For example, by pressing the number buttons above the calendar to create one.

Handwritten Notes & Draws
I would love to be able to take handwritten notes / draw directly in the app, or even on embeded medias, and to draw links between differant objects

Universal Quick Capture
Ability to quickly capture content from anywhere on macOS using a keyboard shortcut( examples: Mem.ai, Things3, Drafts, and Lazy.so)

Bug: iOS app, Can't "backspace" to delete a text block
Normally, in the iOS app, I can press enter to add new lines, which creates a new text block. Then I can backspace, which removes the new text block and move my cursor back to the previous text block. But recently I suddenly can't backspace to remove the empty text block - when I press backspace, nothing happens. It's annoying because, for example, if I accidently press enter in the middle of a paragraph, I normally can recombine them by just hitting backspace, but now they are semi-permanently separated until I edit in the desktop app. I'm running Capacities 1.65.12 and iOS 26.5.
