Ability to turn a calendar event into task

At the moment I go to the calendar and I see a list of entries. I use my calendar to block in work and if I have a meeting I can create a meeting from it. In some instances, they are actually tasks. I understand that you can turn something into an object is there is a date field. Tasks have date fields but I can't covert that.

This allows me to work fully within capacities to monitor activities. It means for example if I have a task, called Prep and Send files, I can turn that into a task because it is time blocked on my calendar and then open that up and connect that to a project.

Thank you

Thanks for the details. The docs cover creating date-property objects from calendar events and showing scheduled tasks in Capacities’ calendar, but don’t document converting an event directly into a task (calendar integrations, task management). Could you share the steps you tried and what happened when you attempted the conversion?

Hi

I have a number of tasks that have a date on them for the due date and the deadline.

I have my calendar event that is 2 hours to work on the project for example, the calendar event reads. GPS-001 Discovery Session.

In the capacities Calendar view I see that as the event with that same title.

I click on the + to "create object from event" and the only options are the objects that appear in the Object Types list. So for example meetings. "Task" is not an option in that list.

I would like it to be.

That then allows me to open that task and add more information to it instead of creating a new task in the tasks menu at the top. I can use the context option to link to any project or other work I am doing.
