Embed Query Calculations
The "Whats Not Next" details that advanced automation and formulas aren't coming soon, which is fair, and I don't have a specific need for right now.
However, it would be nice if the query calculations we have could be simply embedded into a page. For example, if I wanted a dashboard / summary / home page of sorts, to quickly see high level information, I would have to embed a dozen queries to see a dozen high level numbers. They would also have to be expanded in order to see that info, so a lot of clutter, making this use case not very plausible.
Could you make it possible to embed that calculation itself? Or, alternatively, at least have the option to show the query calculations on a "folded" query?
"Unfolded" query
![]()
"Folded"/"Collapsed" query:
![]()
This "11" next to the Edit on the query is useful info, but it is very small and only visible when the query is expanded. I would love to have this number more accessible. Just unhiding it when folded would unlock the ability to see top level values from many queries at a quick glance!

·4 days agoThanks for outlining the dashboard use case. Would a calculation-only embed or showing the calculation on collapsed queries better fit your needs? If you prefer the latter, where should the value appear? Query documentation

Both options would be ideal, since the would fit different use cases:
- The Calculation-Only embed would be nice since you could theoretically add it as a heading, a list, in a table, etc. You could have a lot more embeds in a smaller area this way
- Showing the calculation on the collapsed query is probably less powerful, but would still be a great option to have the access to that number without cluttering the entire page with the query results. Yet when you want to see the actual objects, they are just a click away.
I would choose the calculation-only embed, if I had to choose. Since you could always add the entire query below it, if you wanted to hide it behind a toggle. Or just let the embed be a link to the query itself if you wanted to dive into the data.
