Private Deep Links to Objects for Cross-App Workflows
Please consider adding private, authenticated deep links for individual Capacities objects.
Currently, Capacities object links may open in a browser, require login, or depend on Secret Link sharing. This makes cross-app navigation inconsistent.
I would like to use Capacities as part of a broader personal knowledge-management workflow. For example, I may keep investment journals in one app and long-term financial knowledge in Capacities. I would like to link from a journal entry to a specific Capacities object and open that object directly.
A similar workflow is already possible with apps such as Notion, TickTick, and Bear. For example, when I add a Notion page link to a TickTick task or a Bear note, I can click the link from TickTick or Bear, which opens the Notion app and navigates directly to the corresponding page.
I would like Capacities to support a similar experience:
- Open the Capacities app directly from another app.
- Navigate to the exact target object.
- Use the user’s existing authenticated account.
- Not require public sharing or Secret Link access for personal use.
- Provide a browser-based flow as a fallback when direct app navigation is unavailable.
This request is not about bypassing authentication or making private content publicly accessible. It is about allowing an authenticated user to access their own Capacities objects directly from other applications.
In short, I am looking for a private, authenticated object deep link for cross-app workflows, similar to the direct page navigation experience available with Notion.
