Pinned tab keeps selected note open (trying to open another opens different tab)

Pinning a tab currently causes some frustration. It seems like all that does currently is keep that tab from closing, so it just makes sure you have a tab open. It makes more sense to me that that tab holds the note or page, etc. currently open and you can't change views. If you search for something different to open that new thing opens in a different tab.

This has been the functionality for a while now. Learnt the hard way to not pin tabs esp tabs I'm on a lot and move into other objects from.

I think pinning to sidebar would work much better for objects you need often.

I hope these workarounds are helpful till they change how pinned tabs work.
