Removing the Welcome screen in the Android app?
I'm wondering if there's a way to remove the Welcome screen in the Android app.
I'm used to backing out of apps using the Back button. Usual Android app behavior on tapping the Back button is for the app to go back a screen (if there has been forward navigation) and then to close once the Back button is used on the final screen. I'm not sure I can break myself of this habit of backing out of apps.
But in the Capacities app this brings me all the way back to the Welcome screen, which does not respond to the Back button at all so the app doesn't close. I think it would be helpful for the app to behave the way other Android apps do and have the Welcome screen close when the Back button is tapped.
But I also don't need the Welcome screen for anything... not sure what its purpose is. So would love for the landing page chosen thru settings to be the last screen and close once the Back button is tapped.
I'm sure I'm missing the ways in which this is more complicated than I've suggested. 😆

Thanks for outlining this so clearly. The current docs only cover choosing the start page (last page or calendar options), not removing the welcome screen or changing back-button behavior: https://docs.capacities.io/faq/general/open-on-app-start. This behavior is not configurable right now, so this ticket is the right place to track a change to make the Android back button close the app from your chosen landing page.
