Highlight ancestor path when cursor is in a nested block (Bullet Path Highlighter)
When working in deeply nested toggle hierarchies, it's easy to lose track of where you are in the tree. Roam Research has a community plugin ("Bullet Path Highlighter" by Azlen) that solves this elegantly:
When your cursor is in a block, it traces the ancestor chain from the root down to your current position by enlarging and coloring the bullets/toggle icons of every parent block in the path, and optionally drawing connecting lines between them — like a visual breadcrumb trail.
The effect: you instantly see your location in the hierarchy without scrolling up. This is especially valuable for outliner-style pages with multiple levels of nested toggles, which is how many of us use Capacities for task management and project breakdowns.
The path highlight appears on focus and disappears when you leave the block. No permanent visual noise — just momentary orientation.
PS: A nice-to-have - hierarchy levels having some sort of standard coloring (all root level items are blue, all second level children, etc).
