Huge slowdown in performance on Windows

Been using the app just fine for 18 months. Over the last month or so, performance has completely degraded to the point of unusability. Pages take 2-3 seconds to load, collections take 4-5 seconds to load. Opening links in the sidebar likewise takes 2-3 seconds. Not using any media or pdfs, just text.

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, as well as logging out and logging back in. Nothing seems to work.

Hi Vasudev Devadasan , thanks for reporting this. We're working on performance improvements at the moment, and this should be improved in the next release.

Just FYI, I've also managed to improve performance by setting the default status of Backlinks, Related Content, and Unlinked Mentions to hidden (screenshot attached). Now I just open them in the sidebar if I need them. I think it might some kind of performance issue with rendering a lot of links on windows.

From what I can tell, it's the block reference linking that's slowing it down to a crawl and causing high RAM usage. I have deleted many of my block links and just copy-pasted the blocks in markdown and that seems to have improved things. On all other pages it seems fine.

I hope this can be fixed because block linking is one of the best features of capacities :/

I have the same issues. We have to admit, none of capacities.io team using windows, I guess all of them using Mac or Linux. So they will never understand the bug until someone submit complain ticket.

Hi Vasudev Devadasan this sounds very strange! Do you experience this on the web app too?
