Wide/Normal Layout per block instead of only per page

Currently, we can set the view to Normal or Wide Layout for the entire page. It would be great to be able to set specific blocks to have opposing views. For example, I enjoy having most of my pages as Normal Layout, but tables get truncated/squished. To remedy that, I would need to turn the entire page to Wide Layout.

The improvement would be that I can leave the entire page with a specific layout but change the blocks to Normal or Wide depending on the use case.
