include OpenRouter (and similar access-bundling providers) as options for AI-BYOK
There are many advantages, especially for individual (non-corporate) use to services like OpenRouter, which allow – budget-friendly, tad more anonymous – use of *all* the available LLMs.
It would fit Capacties well to allow them. 💫
– On a sidenote: this provides a nice route to disengage from unwarranted providers "insitutionally", while still keeping option for sporadic use open… ☺️

Some more reasons – alongside quoted "budget-friendly, tad more anonymous" – that I realized (and mentioned in forum):
• access to open source models – instead of just proprietory/closed models
• the best way to allow real flexibility in use (something that would otherwise need 2, 3, or 4 parallel subscriptions)
• access to models not available at all via standard providers (e.g. highly cost-effective frontier model Kimi)

🤔 – maybe worth considering fusing this with https://feedback.capacities.io/b/1v35e680/feature-ideas/allow-setting-a-base-url-for-openai-custom-ai-provider ?
… not 100% sure though, as it seems to do 2 things at a time:
focus on OpenAI access pipeline;
ask for more open/flexible access options (in line with this request).
Certainly an overlap here… 🙂
