Spaces connection - no isolation

Having two or more spaces is genuinely valuable — for example, to keep personal and professional areas separate.

What doesn’t work as well is the strict isolation between them. There are documents and images that need to be accessible from both spaces, and when working with tasks, it’s impractical to manage them across two separate environments. Ideally, all tasks should live in a single unified system.

Not being able to link documents to tasks is a real limitation.

This becomes even more important when someone changes jobs. If everything is stored in a single space, cleaning out all previous job documentation becomes long and tedious. Having two spaces solves that — you can delete one space entirely and start fresh.

And I could give several examples of why it would be convenient to share documents across spaces.

But if both spaces could share document–task linking, you’d eliminate all the friction of switching between spaces, copying deep links, pasting them, and constantly jumping back and forth.

true – …also long standing discussion.

There is a kind of general ticket on that (as result of discussions). So, probably best/most effective to raise your voice there – especially as this one was opened by team itself at some point ;-)

– Unfortunately, when carrying over from the old feature request/idea board, most of the contents – in terms of useful/contributing user inputs – have been lost (and also the description of the ticket has narrowed as compared to it´s original formulation).

So would surely make this better and more effective, if this was beefed up again, and also used for focus of discussion (which otherwise dissipates in 1-vote-requests…)

JMO :-)
