I often have to create projects with multiple tasks and subtasks. I would like to have a task template to create new projects quickly and in a proven structure.

Hi Michael Iversen, the best thing to do for now is to make the project with each task as a simple checkbox in the template. Then when you use a template, you can select the task checkboxes and turn them into full tasks.
