Pasting multiple lines and paragraphs into a quote block

Currently the quote block allows copy-pasting of only a single line of text. If the copied text contains line breaks, these are converted into multiple plain (non-quote) blocks. It would be more useful if the quote block worked the same way as the code block. If I create a code block, I can copy-paste multiple lines/blocks of code into the same code block. I believe this is what most people would want to do with the quote block as well. Suppose I copy an email with multiple paragraphs and want to put it into a quote block on a page in Capacities. Currently I can do this by copy-pasting everything into multiple blocks, then merging those blocks, and finally converting that into a quote. Doable, but gets a bit tedious if the text is long.
