Hide sidepanel – shortcut conflict w/ (sidepanel) search box

When the cursor is active (blinking) in search box in the sidepanel section for search, the state blocks the normal behavior and the sidepanel cannot be closed with regular shortcut (cmd-shift-arrow right).

One can work around by pressing esc 1 time, and then the shortcut.

But I think expected & preferred behavior should be the shortcut overriding the state of the search box.
