Share is sharing my whole space instead of specific object
The defaults when I click share is literally everything in my space. Including all objects of unrelated object types. All images, almost all daily notes, all pdfs, all weblinks etc.
The worst part is that I have to uncheck them manually to get the level of access I desire to share. there's no checkbox to select/unselect all in objects listed under an object type. When I finally unselect everything else except the object I'm trying to share, the confirm button becomes unclickable.
I basically can't share just that page. It's too long to share as a pdf (pdf expands all the toggles), and markdown loses the toggles and the page would need reformatting. I'm stuck needing to share an object but unable to.
-----
Edit: After another attempt, I noted that the confirm button takes quite a while to become clickable. Was what had happened earlier but I didn't wait for it to finish loading.
The whole process from clicking share to finally having a link with only the object I want shared is upwards of 7 min. I needed to unselect 433 items to just share 1 object.

Could you please make the default of sharing only what's on the shared object? It looks like Capacities is trying to include anything linked to anything.
Can sharing be made to default to only what's on the page? If something is embedded, can it only be made visible but not clickable? Something like a static view of the page when it comes to embeds or other linked objects. Kinda like how in pdf exports you can see what's embedded, but you have no access to the whole object from which the embed comes.
Options can be given in the sharing page to show all the contents of embedded objects (making them openable as it currently is), but the defaults should be a 'static' view when it comes to embeds.
The 'greedy' approach to sharing makes the share 'page' take very long to load and when it finally loads, there's lots of work to be done in unselecting all the extra objects that are to be shared by default.
I believe that a more 'lazy' approach to sharing will lighten the share feature and make it much quicker and more efficient even on your servers.
Note: The object I'm trying to share is linked to many other objects.
I'm on Cap 1.60.1

Hi Sly NI the sharing is intended to work like this, the object must be highly linked. I'll reclassify this as an improvement. Reformatting it is the best solution at this time.
Beth bringing this to your attention.

Thanks for flagging this and for the detailed description. Sharing currently follows links recursively through your graph, which can indeed surface a lot of content, and there is no “select/unselect all” per type yet. Your request to (1) default to only the directly visible content of the shared object and/or (2) add bulk selection controls for included objects makes a lot of sense and is noted as a UX improvement for the sharing dialog. In the meantime, this doc explains how sharing currently works and what gets included: https://docs.capacities.io/tutorials/sharing

I'm on a the newest Cap. v1.62.2 and I have the same problem with one that is heavily linked.
Even just allowing one to unselect by category would make this easier.
