Mac OS: I would like to choose the destination folder for downloads when ~/Downloads is not acceptable

Because of the set up on my macbook, the ~/Download folder is the least ideal place for my exported items to land from Capacities. I would like to determine the location where Capacities exports files.

Thanks for sharing this — that makes a lot of sense, especially with custom Mac setups. On the desktop app you can already choose a target folder for automated full exports under Settings > Full Export > Automated Full Export by setting a file location. For manual/single exports, there’s no custom location setting yet, but I’ve noted your request so we can consider a more flexible export destination in future improvements.
