True two-pane layout within one window (beyond the current side panel)
I’d love to have a true two-pane layout inside a single Capacities window, similar to Obsidian’s split view – and distinct from the current side panel. Right now, the side panel is helpful, but it behaves more like an auxiliary view:
- It is visually and functionally “secondary” to the main page.
- It’s great for briefly opening a single object or a few notes next to the main content.
- It’s not designed as a second, fully equal workspace.
Enable real “two-board” work, allowing moving content between views
- Ideally: drag & drop or easy copy/move of objects from one pane to the other. This would make reorganizing content between queries/collections much more natural (similar to two file explorer panes).
Support parallel editing of two contexts
- Edit objects from both panes at the same time.
- Example: left = project overview or query, right = another query or related notes.
- Both sides are equally important, not “main vs. side”.
I think the current side panel is great as a supporting view. But what I’m missing is a true split view / two-pane layout where both sides are equal, can each host full queries/collections and allow moving objects between them.
