Feature for Bug Reporting Flow Here in the Feedback site

When merging related tickets it would be really helpful to leave a trace of that action behind in our personal My Content section. I go there first to check on my tickets and was very confused when some had simply disappeared. I had to scroll through all reported bugs to find them again, and then saw that they had been merged into another ticket.

Perhaps a "merged" status with a link to the new combined ticket? Then we can still find and follow the ticket, feature, etc..

Also would alleviate that very uncomfortable "Have I lost my mind, again?!" feeling you get when your stuff has been moved about while you weren't looking.

Admittedly a minor issue in the scheme of all the great things Capacities already does so well.

Hi Lucy I I could @ users in the ticket I've merged a request into? I don't think the status would solve the problem if the tickets disappear from My Content anyway, but if you are @ somewhere then an email is triggered at least.

Thanks for describing this so clearly, that “where did my ticket go?” moment is very real. A dedicated “merged” status with an automatic link to the target ticket in My Content would make this much more transparent and easier to follow. I’ve noted this as a UX improvement for our feedback system so we can keep users oriented while still consolidating related reports.
