Tags - Allow sorting options other than the default order by creation date
Tags are extremely important for organizing objects, so it would be highly useful if tags could be sorted according to specific criteria, primarily in a manual order, of course, but even an alphabetical order would be more welcome than the current sorting by creation date.
When using many tags, it can currently be tedious to find the desired tag in the drop-down list.

At least the alphabetical sort order would be helpful to find the desired tag for tagging. But "last added", the current sort order of tags, is the most useless one we could think of.
I fully support this suggestion. In the Tags-page, I can sort and filter Tags, but those setting don't apply to the Tags dropdown list in Objects. Please fix! :-)
Or even better, let me set the sorting and filtering whenever I shall choose a Tag in the dropdown list in an Object. That choice should be remembered til the next time I open the Tags dropdown list in that Object Type.
Are there any plans to improve tags in the near future?

1.71.9 - Even if you sort keywords, the custom sort order is not remembered. I think keywords are so essential that the ability to sort them deserves more attention.
When you select keywords for an object, you'll want to see your own sort order in the select window - one that makes it easier for you to quickly find the right keyword - at least an alphabetical sort order.
