Global Variables

I believe a feature where one could define 'Global Variables' (perhaps a 'Current Semester' variable), and refer to this global within queries (e.g. object query that returns all 'Courses' objects where their property 'Semester' is equal to the same object as the global var 'Current Semester').

This way, any queries that are used as views within object type pages can be context-aware and updated space-wide. (e.g. let's say I have 3 object types - Courses, Lecture Notes, and Assignments - and each object contains a property for a 'Semester' object. If I then created 3 queries - This Semester's Courses, This Sem's Lectures, This Sem's Assignments - I could immediately update all of the queries upon the beginning of a new semester by just changing what semester the global 'Current Semester' refers to, rather than manually editing each of the queries.
