Label Properties yes, Yes, YES!! Oh wait!??

ABSOLUTE PROPS for introducing Labels - this was a marvelous surprise!

I've avoided Tags for the longest, preferring Multi and Single-Object selects for my Properties.

I recently introduced 3-tags into my design "todo", "followup", and "screenshots" where the final step is to add thumbnails to my Media Catalog objects.

I just knew it would be a simple matter of selecting e.g. my TODO Tag and have them converted to their Label TODO property counterparts - Oh YAY!

Excited, I started doing some conversions by hand this morning spending a good 15-mins plus, for a total (just checked) of 187 so far.

I then read through the new article about Property Conversions.

I would have thought the introduction of Labels as mentioned, being a means to "liberate" Tags for better purposes, would have been covered by the new Property Conversion process - but I can't???

Am I missing something, is this perhaps coming later??

If Tag to Label conversion is coming, fine, I can wait till then instead of all this rework I'm looking at.

(I still have over 470 more Tag -> Label conversions remaining! - "Oh the Pain" - Dr. Smith, Lost in Space

While iterating my Media Catalog design, I also have 161 "Media File Take" objects I need to convert over to my updated "Media File" object design.

I've been slowly doing this over time because again, there isn't a way when using Capacities' Object conversion method, to convert over Object PROPERTIES which my Object designs rely on to a major degree...

Each conversion needs to create a new Media File, copy the Media Filename property from Media File Take into the Title of Media File, then take the Title of the Media File Take, and copy it to the "Media Download URL" of Media File, and finally, copy over, or discard other remaining properties to the new Media File...

I had actually envisioned the use of a panel similar to how Queries are created, to designate which properties from the "old" objects goes to the "new" object etc., I would LOVE to see this added to Capacities!

I'm finding myself at the point where I've seen other people complain about PKM apps (paraphrasing) "...I'm doing more work on my design vs actually taking notes..."

Coming from Obsidian, Properties are the mainstay of how I store my data into Capacities Objects (I rarely use Pages / "free type" information except for "notes at the bottom" - my data is all within Single / Multi-select Properties etc.

This mostly hasn't bothered me because as I'm learning and becoming more familiar using Capacities, iterating my Catalog design has been a joy of discovery, and seeing the things I can actually accomplish using Capacities!

However with the iteration of my Object designs, the NECESSITY of manual OBJECT CONVERSIONS is becoming more of a liability / time sink for me - and it all really seems to be over how Properties are (aren't?) handled?

Any thoughts or help is appreciated concerning the design iteration of Objects w/Properties.
