Richer formatting in text properties

Trying to add a Synopsis property to the book template, but you cannot paste any text with a line break/paragraphs, it will only paste the first paragraph and have to manually paste as body text and then remove line breaks and then paste into the property field. It's very cumbersome and I'm inclined not to use the template at all if this is necessary for every entry I want to put in there.

The book template especially lacks a lot of logic and features that would make it genuinely useful for keeping tabs on your books.

For instance, you can only add a progress bar with a set number for every single entry and it's static, so you have to input the number instead of being able to visually adjust with a slider or -/+ nor can you have a progress for individual entries. If you want to keep track of how many pages you've read and progress/how much is left, you can't do this as you can't specifically tell it, here is how many pages this book has, this is how many pages I've read - show the progress. Rendering the template a little redundant. Many of the object types and templates and overall features are too generic and lack flexibility for their use cases, but are especially evident when the features that are available, do not work in a logical way.
