Create a Seamless Home for AI-Generated Knowledge in Capacities

Context:

In today's rapidly evolving AI landscape, users interact with various Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI platforms to address diverse needs—from quick ideation to deep research. This often involves multiple tools:

  • Gemini (Google)
  • ChatGPT (OpenAI)
  • NotebookLM
  • Claude, Perplexity, DeepSeek, Pi.ai

This fragmented usage results in a chaotic and disconnected knowledge ecosystem. Each query, insight, and AI-generated note exists in isolation, making it challenging for users to track, reference, or build upon their AI-derived knowledge over time.

"Data is the new oil, but knowledge is the new electricity. We are generating so much value with AI—yet we have no power grid to distribute and store that value." – Andrew Ng, AI Pioneer ⚡

The Problem

While each AI platform offers unique advantages, the absence of a centralized AI Knowledge Hub forces users to:

  • Manually copy-paste AI chats and notes 📝
  • Depend on screenshots or disorganized bookmarks 📸
  • Lose track of critical insights across devices and apps 📱💻

Currently, there is no unified, user-friendly system that captures and organizes LLM-generated knowledge from multiple sources in a structured, queryable, and context-aware format.

Why Capacities is the Perfect Fit

Capacities is already a studio for the mind, designed to:

  • Capture
  • Organize
  • Distill

Many power users, including myself, are drawn to Capacities for its seamless Capture Workflow, especially via Telegram chat integrations—making it effortless to log voice notes, ideas, and todos throughout the day.

The next natural frontier in Capacities' Capture strategy is:

AI Knowledge Capture – the ability to consolidate, organize, and query all AI-generated content, regardless of origin.

Proposed Features

  • AI Chat Object Expansion
  • Import and Manual Creation
  • Tagging and Linking
  • YAML Metadata Support
  • Multi-Platform AI Import
  • Browser Extension & API Integration
  • Advanced Auto-Categorization
  • Search & Ask Capabilities within Capacities AI Interface
  • AI Querying
  • Comprehensive Overviews

I would like to second this idea, even if in the meantime it means just pasting my external chats manually as a 'dumb' AI Chat object. Currently I'm saving anything from Claude, etc. as a 'Correspondence' object and it creates a blurred line between human correspondence and LLM. Not urgent, but useful.
