Track Progress of Checkboxes

Let's assume I have checkboxes in my Daily Note, something like "Cold Shower", "Take Vitamins" or "Call my Girlfriend". I do check those on some days and on others I don't because I was lazy to do any of those things. Is there a way to track the progress over e period of time (a week, a month, a year) to see how many days I did take a cold shower, took my vitamins and called my girlfriend?

I guess the same could be applied to Goals, where I set goals and get to see the progress of those goals over a set period of time.

Maybe this already can be done and I am just not aware of it. If not, it would be a great feature to add.
