Default daily note template not applied when adding through whatsapp

I've set a default daily note template, and it works well when I create a new daily note in the app. However, if the first thing added to a daily note is done through the whatsapp-integration, then the daily note template is not applied and needs to be added manually. The default daily note template ought to be applied no matter how the daily note is created.
