Hide objects from Date References block on Daily View

Currently, any object instance with a date field that has a value matching the current date shows up in the Date References area of the Daily View. This would make sense for single dates, but I have objects that have a date range related to when there will be work happening them. I don't necessarily want them showing here for that entire date range of several months. I'd like to have an option to suppress this just as we have for the quick add button (which applies to the entire object type rather than an instance).
