API endpoint to create objects
Currently, I can only dump content in my daily page. My workflow would be really improved if I can create objects via API.
Examples of use cases
- I keep reading a lot of quotes from the web that I'd like to store in a quotes object
- Save a tweet
- Save a YouTube Video
- Save a book recommendation from chat or an article directly as a book object. Also true for movies and other recommendations
- Save contact details for a person
- Create a meeting notes object and open the page (from Raycast/Calendar) in Capacities to start taking notes

I was going to open a ticket about this, but I see that it isn’t necessary. I think this is a feature that really ought to be implemented in Capacities; enabling more connection points in the Capacities API will allow us to create more integrations and even improve the MCP
Bräuchte die Erstellung Direkt einen Objekttyp Beispiel Buch mit Properties – dafür bräuchte der Connector von Claude eine Create-Object-Funktion, die er nicht hat.

Yes, please let us have the AI create new objects for us. That is the most tedious part that breaks my flow; being able to speak what I want the app to do into existence would be incredible.
My current example. I just gave my GPT-connected integration this prompt
"I want you to Add A page to my Tool object as "VS Code Insiders" and make the context that I use this in tandem with regular VS Code (it's just the early release access version that has a mint colored Icon, which is visually distinct that I work on different types of projects on. Ex. My Primary VS Code I, Keep for Managing all my Vibe Coding Projects but, I use Insiders to SSH Into my Virtual matchine, or I can use Insiders for specifically interafacing with my second brain I've built in Obsidian, Also Duplicate that as a Definition object as well and Create a "Flow" Object Called "Dual Wielding VS Code" that links back to the insiders page in the context."
I expected those 3 objects to be made but it just put all that context as a formatted markdown text in my daily page, which isn't very helpful for creating objects because now I've got to reformat everything, which is more work than doing it myself in the first place.
Today I tried capacities and I really liked. The only reason prevented me integrate my daily workflow into it API and MCP limitations. I hope they can expand it soon.
I work a lot with Claude and it would be great to let it create new Pages with the content of conversations. Today I can only save that in daily notes or move content by hand between the apps, which is not ideal..
second, third, and forth votes from me too
This! Here’s another use case: My partner has built a tool that pulls book notes from PocketBook e-readers into Capacities. Currently the API only allows these to be added as weblinks, and there’s no way to edit the resulting weblink later if the book note changes. It would be great if we could create a custom object and add to that object over time. (If that’s unclear, ping me and I’ll explain more!)
Also would be great to be able to upload files and PDFs through the API - would significantly improve my workflow!
Great, that this is happening! Can't wait to integrate capacities more into my workflow.

We just launched API 2.0 - All information here: https://developers.capacities.io/
