Allow filtering Object types in a query by shared property.

I use the projects objects to organize related resources. For many other objects such as tasks, ideas, goals, literature notes I have made an object property "Project" to connect the relevant resource to the relevant project object. I want my main note of the project object to be a hub that shows all relevant resources. I can currently do that by embedding a query for object types, which I can then add filter to. Unfortunately all the Project properties of different objects are listed separately, so I have to manually create a filter for each relevant object.

This works, but every time I create a new object, I have to

  • Recreate this query structure
  • add the new project as a filter to each property, even though I am within the current project.

Several solutions could work:

  • Have a two-way link between objects (so that if I add Project A to another object's Project property, that object is added in a corresponding property in the Project (like in Notion). Easiest an ideal solution
  • Just like for the built-in properties like Tags, Icon, etc, allows us to filter by the same property across objects for custom properties. Of course, this makes sense only if the property is consitent, but that could be a check.
  • Give more control on how to filter and organize the backlinks section at the bottom. I can almost achieve what I want with it, but:
  • I can't group by object-type in List view, which is my favorite, just in Gallery
  • I can only filter backlinks by the builtin properties, not any of my custom properties (e.g., can't hide objects whose "Complete" property is checked". E.g, compare this pretty query (2nd screenshot) with the much messier backlinks section
