Empowering Community Engagement: Enabling users to share workspaces and templates
As Capacities continues to evolve, a key opportunity to enhance user experience and foster a vibrant community lies in improving how we share. While the platform has made strides in various areas, there is a growing need to focus on enabling seamless sharing capabilities like templates / prompts / object profiles / space architectures etc.
Implementing a Public Library of Templates and Workflows:
- Develop a feature allowing users to access, contribute to, and use templates and workflows shared by others. That plus a library would serve as a repository of creativity and expertise, helping new and existing users to find inspiration and implement best practices more easily.
- Enhancing Import Features for Community Content: Building on the current discussions around bulk import capabilities, it's crucial to ensure that users can not only bring their work into Capacities from other platforms easily but also share their spaces or templates within the Capacities community. This requires refining the import functionality to support a wide range of content types and facilitating a smoother transition for users switching from other applications.
- Enhancing the discord server: Adding a starboard channel, which basically lets the users bump up useful templates, workflows or images showcasing a dashboard or other setups of capacities.
Why this should be considered (almost) number one in priority?
By emphasizing community engagement and sharing, we're not just creating a welcoming space at Capacities. Prioritizing community features does more than boost user adoption and retention; it opens a window into the diverse ways people use Capacities.
A larger community means a broader sample size, providing invaluable insights into user needs, uncovering gaps in our features, and highlighting areas for improvement. This feedback is crucial for shaping a platform that not only meets but anticipates user needs, ensuring Capacities evolves in alignment with its users' changing needs.

Yes please! A potential site that has this can also have the use case pages that are no longer on the Capacities site, such as https://capacities.io/tutorials/process-reading-notes

I strongly agree with this.
Especially if Capacities wants to encourage sharing of workflows, templates, object structures, and space architectures, I think a persistent public forum (for example Discourse) would also become very valuable.
Discord works well for quick interaction, but long-term knowledge sharing is difficult there:
useful discussions quickly disappear, are hard to search, and are not indexed by search engines.
A forum could become the natural place for:
In my opinion, this would complement Discord very well rather than replace it.
