Make pinned tabs "sticky"

When a pinned tab is active, it can still be replaced by another page. When opening an object when a pinned tab is active, the object should be opened in a new tab. This way the pinned content remains available.

Steffen Bleher Hi... I'm curious why this was marked complete as the behavior of pinned tabs has not changed. (I just tried this in the v1.66.1 release to be sure).

If a user "pins" an object to a tab, the expectation is that the object will remain in place on that tab.

Currently, when an object is pinned to a tab, the tab stays "pinned", but the content of that tab changes depending on what else is clicked.

Use case example: I want to open my daily note for today and keep it pinned in the tab bar so that I can always quickly go back to today's daily note.

Currently, I can pin the note, but if I click another object in that note then my daily note is gone and replaced with the object I click.

As far as I can see this is already implemented.

The current implementation of pinned tabs makes them kind of pointless.

There are many good examples from browsers (Vivaldi and Arc do this). When a tab is sticky and you click on a link that drives you to a different page, it opens a new tab instead and preserves the pinned tab

+1 What's the point of pinning a tab if the content doesn't stay pinned?

This would definitely add to the useability of pinned tabs. I want to be able to pin my daily note there, and know that it will always be there

I'm surprised this is still outstanding. It's driving me bonkers!
