Add Gmail's Forwarding address to complete forwarding verification
I am trying to add "[email protected]" to my gmail as a forwarding email. I want to do this to create automatic rules (filters) to immediately forward certain emails to capacities (this can also be used as a temporary workaround to rss). Unfortunately, Gmail has to send an email containing a code to verify that you do control your forwarding email. This verification email comes from a generic gmail address: [email protected]
Hence it does not appear in capacities and I cannot complete the verification process.
Please add this email by default so we can get the verification code.
Note, it doesnt work to add this email to CAP as an alternative since CAP will also send a verification code.

In the meantime, you can achieve forwarding in gmail through labels and app scripts.
Step 1: In Gmail, create a label called to-capacities.
Step 2: Create a Filter In Gmail → Settings → Filters → Create new filter: From: your email address To: your email address → Apply label: to-capacities
(your filter can differ, I just want to send all emails from myself to myself to Capacities) Step 3: Create the script Go to script.google.com, new project, and paste this in place of the template empty function:
Step 4: Test the function.
Apply the label to some email, and on the script page, find the label "run" above the editor and make sure next to that the name of your function (forwardToCapacities) is shown.
Click run, and after a few seconds, the labelled email should be in Capacities' daily note.
Step 5: Set up the trigger
In the Apps Script editor, go to the clock icon (Triggers) on the left sidebar → Add Trigger:
It'll ask for Gmail permissions on the first run — grant those.
And that should be it. No need to click Deploy, it should keep forwarding your labelled emails every few minutes from now on.
