Ability to add annotations
I would like to add annotations to specific words for things like definitions or side notes that might not fit in the flow of text in an object. For example, I would like to be able to hover over an annotated word and have the annotation pop up similar to the popup that appears when you hover over a page. A potential use case would be for abbreviations or acronyms that might not be common for you and the annotation could serve as a reminder of what the abbreviation or acronym means.

would appreciate it if I could highlight text in PDFs and add notes alongside them. Documents wouldn't then need to be opened in another app
Plus one to this. My use case is adding feedback to my writing in Spanish, the language I'm learning. I don't want to have to have a whole new object type to just add in annotations to correct my grammar.
I'd also use annotations for other aspects where I don't need to create a new object but want to add a note to something!
