Reminders for Tasks

Yes please, add and prioritize this feature! I would really love capacities to be my one stop shop for tasks, but I need iOS reminders in order to be able to do that. Thanks!

Yes, please build reminders for tasks. This is essential for any task list to function effectively.

I desperately need the REMINDERS feature in tasks so that my workflow can function properly, which will actually allow me to drop another program specifically used for this (currently I use TickTick) and be able to use Capacities exclusively for my task and project management.

Reminders could become a special object type, just like Tasks, with their tab in the object details view, just like the "Tasks" tab. That way, we can add reminders for any kind of object, not just tasks.

Later, if we get to something like calendar feeds / sync, similar to Todoist's calendar, the Reminder objects of some special "Event" type could be synced 1:1 to Google Calendar appointment reminders.

Two-way automatic sync, without requirement to use a 'task action'. For TickTick and Apple Reminders. There's little benefit in rebuilding something that is already implemented incredibly well in both of those apps.

One of my biggest deal breakers for Capacities is not getting notifications for tasks. I want my tasks to live along side my knowledge management and do not want to outsource it to another app if I don't need to. I have too many apps spread out doing various things when I need all to work together or be together.

This will be very practical to complete the tasks of the day.

Pleas with two-way-sync.

I am thinking about reminders on mobile in notification center - but I am not sure what would be a better solution: Reminder at specific time and date or specific time and date relative to schedule date - or maybe even a deadline?

i need to drop my tick tick subscription, please make it happen, if it integrates well on my apple ecosystem i am going to be very happy.

Would very much appreciate that as I need to set items that really need identifcation in a separate app

Unfortunately, notifications are essential for me because, like other people with ADHD, I have time blindness. I love the task management features, and I've tried switching to them completely multiple times. However, I was always running late because, once I closed the tab, I forgot the scheduled times. Now I use Capacities for the actual task details and another app just for push notifications (that remind me to open Capacities again for the task).

I know this would require a lot of work initially because Capacities doesn't have a notification system yet, but it would help immensely and make my workflow so much less frustrating.

I use Ticktick as my Task and Project manager, and I would cancel it if CAPACITIES had a reminder function at various times (e.g., 30 minutes before, 1 hour before, 1 day before, etc.). The function to postpone a reminder to 30 minutes, 1 hour, 3 hours, or tomorrow is also very useful. I would also love it if CAPACITIES had a real calendar, similar to Google Calendar. Then I would cancel all my subscriptions and centralize everything in CAPACITIES.

If it could also have an "undismissable" notification like TickTick that creeps into my face, I would unsubscribe from every other app.

a double plus for reminders - also as someone with ADHD, having things buzz me is very important

Please, I just need a reminder feature with notifications like we see in Apple Reminders and TickTick, associated with my tasks and schedules to remind me of my appointments. I love "Capacities" and chose it because I have ADHD and it's perfect for everything I do, but without this feature my system feels incomplete.

Let's combine development support for both

"Recurring Tasks" with "Task Reminders."

Should be able to use the '@' sign to set a reminder back to that object.

Assign or Add a name/ email address:

While Capacities is not focused on Corporate, multi-user environments, the ability to "assign" or "add" a name/email address (TASK-GUEST) to Tasks would be helpful in situations when a Task requires input or involvement of an additional person, aka "TASK-GUEST" regardless if they are a Capacities user. Adding the name and Email address and sending an email to notify the "Task-Guest."

Once these task-related features move into active development and release, Capacities will finally have a complete, powerful Task managment system.

We agree that this would be a great enhancement to Capacities Task Management, but it is a huge project. Therefore we are prioritizing other projects at the moment, which you can read about here: https://capacities.io/roadmap/whats-next.
