Daily Note Properties
I've seen quite a few people create a separate daily object to add properties to since that is not an option with the Daily Notes. I would love for properties to be an actual feature on them. The way I would use this is to add checkbox properties to track my habits.

Agree! Not having properties on daily notes is my number one pet peeve night now!
Yes, this is infuriating. I want to use daily notes badly, but why can't I just have properties and then make templates that relate to my other objects. This is ridiculous.
Agree. The Daily Note is where a lot of us live, and having properties will greatly streamline our interactions with Capacities
Built-in objects ought to be starting points for user customization. No reason for them to be any different from any other object type.

I am once again going to beg for this to be a thing.. Why is page that I spend 90% of my time in Capacities in, the LEAST able to be properly contextualized?!
This would make my space more organized by not needing 2 daily note objects and me being confused how exactly I should delineate what goes where.
Adding properties to the Daily Note seems like a no brainer.
I agree with this. Just let us add properties like we can to other objects and then people can do...whatever they want to it!
Or if they could let us add an object to the template body of the daily note that could have a similar effect. That way, each new daily note would have a Habit object inside it, ready for taking action on.
Would love this. While it's nice there are workarounds, it's still seems like a lot more maintenance than there needs to be.
Just my two cents, but I feel like Daily Notes should be less hard-coded (like Tasks), and more like a default/included system object that can be deleted or re-added later. Idk, I guess I just see Capacities as trying to put as much power/customization back into the hands of the user as possible, and system objects/properties tend to be less flexible.
My idea would be to be able to create an object(s) that I can link to the calendar, with a setting that makes it show up in the same way as the current Daily Note object.
I agree. Restrictions on built-in objects are too severe. It's making us build convoluted hacks attach more data to them, like creating a Day object and link it to the daily note via the date. There is surely a better way to do it.
I'm not sure why there's a limitation on properties on the built in objects in general. Specific to daily notes, properties here could provide basic habit tracking. I'd find that quite useful.

The introduction of the "Day" object appears to be a workaround to some unknown architectural constraint of the "Daily Note", but as Beth has pointed out in numerous videos, the Daily Note is where we spend the majority of our time. Transparency in the usage of "Daily Note vs. Day" and the challenge behind adding properties to the Daily Note would be helpful, while adding properties to the Daily Note would be greatly appreciated. Case in point, Sunsama has the brilliant idea of "Daily Planning" and "Daily Shutdown" but I'm not quite sure how this would fit into Capacities given the limited/duplicative object types of "Day" and "Daily Note."
