Birthdays + recurring events
It would be great to be able to add a "Birthday property" to People objects, and for it to appear on the Calendar every year (I suppose maybe we could also have the option to "disable" specific birthdays from showing up... or we can manually enable which birthdays show in the calendar?)
And this idea made think about creating recurring events that repeat daily/weekly/monthly/yearly, but honestly the birthdays are what I care about the most.
Maybe that's beyond the scope of this app, but I think it would be a good addition for the People object.

I think cementing a system “Birthday” property is actually slightly over-baked. Simpler would just be to be able to add either a) a recurring reminder to an object, b) a recurring date property to an object, or c) a recurring calculated date property to an object.
So, for a “Contact” or “Person”, it may be a “Birthday” date field that you do this on.
But likewise, for a recurring Meeting that may occur Quarterly, you could apply a similar recurrence to that object property type using the same build.
Essentially, this will likely get combined with either the reminders feature, or they could add a ‘recurring date’ feature.
It is; however, super important that they don’t lock the recurring development strictly to Tasks. Definitely want to be able to use it elsewhere.
Can't we use the Google Calendar integration to achieve this, to achieve the same outcome?

Huge Upvote! It links to this idea of recurring journal entries also. It would have a lot of potential usage with certain events the are recurring, not so much for the calendar usage but the object usage of a recurring event

Recurring tasks got added to Capacities with Release 64. You can read about it here: https://capacities.io/whats-new/release-64.
For the foreseeable future, we do not see Recurring events to be added to Capacities. We recommend using a calendar for this, as it is the more natural fit. In combination with our calendar integrations, you get the best of both worlds:
We hope that makes sense.
