Manual Sort
Similar to Notion's grouping by sorting functionality, I think there should be other ways to sort aside from alphabetical (asc/desc). For example, visual ⭐ ratings or statuses may not be sorted in this fashion.

+1 Tasks are useless unless there are manual sorting and greater organization
Commenting to +1 this more strongly.
This is a foundational feature for planning, prioritising. I didn't realise it was missing before migrating here from Notion, and am starting to have regrets.
To be honest, it's disheartening seeing this still not even be planned, while recent updates contain so much AI stuff. Could foundational UI like this come before flashy AIs and APIs, please?
I would definitely love a manual sort option as a base for when no sort option is selected. Would be great addition for kanban, prioritizing media/research, tasks, etc.
Yes. I want manual sort option everywhere! But especially with tasks, to prioritize. This issue is probably related to the kanban sorting feature request.
Without manual reordering in Kanban, task management feels useless for daily workflows. Sorting strictly by fixed rules or just 3 basic priority levels doesn't work when you need a specific execution sequence.
We need free drag-and-drop sorting to order tasks the way we actually do them.
Without this, the Kanban view and Tasks are essentially unusable.
