Meaningful, humanly recognizable URLs
Please make URLs in browser's address bar meaningful to and recognizable for humans. When I start typing 'capacities' in the address bar, the browser helpfully shows me a list of matching pages I visited recently. It includes specific addresses within capacities, but because these only show a GUID, I have no clue whether it's one I want to go to directly.I understand the need for the GUID, but can we have the best of both worlds, please?I'm thinking of a slug based on the item's title (or combo of both DB and item's titles) between the app's domain and the GUID.For example:app.capacities.io/curious-and-confident/creating-headlines-348eb019-a2c6-42ca-a0f8-933ec1277685where the GUID is that of the specific item.I'm pretty sure that you don't need two GUIDs in the URL (as in the image attached), because the item's GUID should be enough to identify it uniquely -- after all it is a GLOBALLY UNIQUE identifier. You could probably even shorten it if you add the unique account name and the (non-unique) space name. Medium, for example, uses someone's unique account name + meaningful title + 12 character ID: medium.com/@theo.seeds/the-9-books-that-completely-changed-the-way-i-see-the-world-6bd2314ad39cCapacities' meaningful URLs could then be something like:app.capacities.io///-Happy to help with thinking, design, and dev-&beta-testingMarjan Venema
