Ability to copy / transfer entities to other spaces
I would like to have the ability to move entities to another space. Let's say I develop some ideas in my personal space which become relevant to my work, I woulk like to move and/or copy them to a different space. There should be an option to move the linked entities aswell or at least the nodes which are directly linked.

Currently (September 2026), it’s not even practically feasible to export or import from one Space to another - it requires a great deal of manual post-processing just to transfer a single object.
I think there should be - as with Anytype - a Markdown-based Capacities format for exporting and importing, which would allow objects to be imported internally without effort, where custom object types and properties are created automatically during import, and embedded media remain embedded without requiring manual post-processing because they are displayed only as links. etc., etc.
I would be happy if we could just move a Pages object freely between spaces. Pages is the exact same object in all spaces so I don't see the problem, there's no property mapping. (as a note: didn't this exist at one time in the earlier days?). I would like to say that I only became a pro member once the import/export system was updated this year because being able to move objects between spaces is so critical. I have used that for some bulk moves but frankly, it just should be an easy menu click to move things, even if only for Pages (or other 'system' types)
Yes to this! My work and my personal spaces often overlap. I don't want them in the same space, but to be able to move from one to the other!! yes please.
I think the key puzzle to solve is how to automatically create a new object type with all needed properties before/during moving the object to another space. Because at this point I have to create this manually - after that, exporting and importing (still a manual job) usually works for me nowadays (after the proper bulk import has lead to a much better import parser).
It is maddening that you spend a lot of time to tweak an ideal data model and then you have no way to scale the work you have done.
The primary reason I won't connect to Claude or any other AI is that I don't want to give that AI access to my entire space. I don't use multiple spaces because there is no way to move data from one to the other and back. So I am stuck.
No, I don't want to CONNECT the spaces. I want that division between them to remain. But i have to be able to copy/move objects from one to the other. So I could have an "AI accesses this" space, and my primary space remains private, as it should.
PLEASE let me copy/move object from one space to the other, optionally including creation of the object type and copy of any linked objects.
Please make this happen, it's a crucial aspect for this app to be worth using.
How many votes have an idea to get, until it will become realized? This feature request is documented since 2022! - Sorry für this quiet rude question, but I think that would be really a killer feature ;-)
I'm new to Capacities, startet with 2 spaces and now realized, that in most cases you can only use the great features of Capacities if you have all your objects in the same space. I'm quite lucky, because at the moment I have only about 50 objects and so it's also possible to move them by handy. But when I imagine that I've used Capacities already for some months ...
Also if I would be an user with more experience and have decided to need more than one space, it could quiet easily happen to send an idea, photo or any other object to the wrong space - for example with the handy app or the iOS share sheet. At the moment I can't find any way to move such an object to the right space.
Suche an feature would be really great!
Need this desperatly
I need this to be able to archive pages in projects or in general.
Still a major impediment although bulk import should make it easier for major moves. I would really like an easy way to move an object quickly to another space because it's so easy to create objects in the wrong space. This is especially true if you use Daily Notes and you lose track of where you are. Even having an object be converted to a basic Page with appropriate warnings about losing metadata when you move it would be okay - even better if it created the missing object type for you and then moved everything!
This would be amazing! And such a timesaver!!!
Please!!! Or duplicate! I started a personal project that now has too many objects to re-create and re-type into a new space that I would like to dedicate to that project. Help, Capacities team!
At the same time, have the ability to change the core objects that are available for each new space. Perhaps I want to change what Person has for each space, or I create a new dedicated object called 'Product' or 'Youtube' or 'Article' that I want in most of my spaces.
+1
need this!
I really would like to see this feature!
I've recently realized this should be a high priority, as data replication is not a good use of time, and expanding existing spaces may not serve the purpose.
+1 on this
I agree on the need for the ability to COPY (preferred) entities {People} from one (1) workspace to a separate second workspace. Two separate spaces must be created for Billing and legal purposes. Two separate Travel companies, one for (Leisure) and a second for (Corporate). Some Travel Suppliers (Hotels, Airlines) would make life much easier if they copied from Leisure to Corporate when needed. Frequently, individual Corporate Clients (People) become clients of the (Leisure) travel company space. This would never be a bulk transfer of multiple clients at a time, only one (1) client at a time when needed.
I agree, I'm facing the same issue. I have two spaces: Work and Personal. The notes or points that come up at work are saved in a "Snippets" custom object, and I have the same Snippets custom object in my personal space as well to jot down quick ideas and notes and create quick interlinks between them. There are many instances where a note in my work space qualifies to be in my personal knowledge space, but I have to do all the manual work of copying it by opening one space in the browser and the other on desktop.
I agree with this exact use-case and ran into it today. At the very least i'd liked to be able to export notes and re-import easily.

+1. Moving a note from my personal space into a work space comes up every time an idea turns into a real project. The tricky part is links: I'd want a choice between moving just the object and moving it together with the objects it links to directly, and a clear placeholder in the old space so existing links don't silently break. A copy should keep a "copied from" reference so the two versions can be told apart later.
