Android: PDF-Annotation and App-Layout (foldable phone)
I’ve already mentioned this on Discord, but I’m posting it here as well, in case someone else runs into the same issue.
Unfortunately, on my Android foldable device (running MagicOS), I am unable to mark, highlight, or copy anything within PDF documents. When I long-press on a word, I get a subtle haptic response, but I cannot select any text to perform further actions.
This happens on both the outer screen and when the device is unfolded. My ideal workflow would be to unfold the phone while on the go, add highlights or annotations to a PDF (without the notes view constantly popping up—even after I’ve explicitly closed it), fold the phone back up, and then continue working on those annotations on my desktop PC at home.
It would also be a huge help if the app adjusted automatically based on which screen I’m using. Currently, it just stretches to fit the inner display, and I have to manually close and reopen the app to get it to switch to the tablet-optimized layout.
