Chinese Input Method (Sucheng / 速成) Composition Failures and Cursor Jumping in Text Field
This happens after the latest update. When typing Chinese with the Sucheng input method, the composition process frequently fails. Partial input codes (radicals/keys) are inserted directly into the note instead of being converted into characters, the cursor jumps unexpectedly, and punctuation/symbol selection produces incorrect or duplicated characters.
Steps to Reproduce
- Open a new Note in Capacities.
- Switch to the Sucheng (速成) Chinese input method.
- Type a normal Chinese sentence, e.g. 「現在測試打中文字,但是指標一直跳來跳」.
- Continue typing and trigger punctuation or symbol candidates (comma, question mark, full-width punctuation, etc.).
- Observe the text field during composition and after confirming candidates.
Actual Result
- Raw Sucheng codes / radical sequences (e.g. 土戈, jm, 口, 人, etc.) are inserted into the document instead of the intended Chinese characters.
- The cursor jumps around or moves to unexpected positions while composing.
- Punctuation selection is broken: selecting a full-width comma or question mark results in duplicated or incorrect symbols (e.g. multiple ? appearing at the beginning or end of the sentence).
- The candidate window sometimes appears for symbols (全形逗號, 全形問號, etc.), but confirming the selection corrupts the surrounding text.
- Final text example from the recording: ???去現在測試打中文字,但是指標一直跳來跳,?
Expected Result
- Sucheng composition should work normally: users type codes, see candidate characters, and confirm the correct Chinese characters without leftover codes.
- Cursor should stay at the insertion point.
- Punctuation and full-width symbols should be inserted cleanly without duplicating or corrupting the sentence.
I see no other apps having this problem, so I assume this is a Capacities app issue.
