Shift-click opens the object in both the side panel and main view
Description:
Previously, Shift-clicking an object opened it in the side panel without changing the main view. Now the object opens in the side panel and also replaces the content in the main view. This makes the side-panel behavior ineffective.
Steps to reproduce:
- Shift-click an object.
- Observe that it opens in both the side panel and the main view.
Expected behavior: The object opens only in the side panel, leaving the main view unchanged.

·5 days agoHello, which object type did you test this with? I haven't been able to recreate the issue.
I do have a meeting object open which has People linked as attendees. normal I can shift click the people object then and it opens in side panel and the meeting object stays in main screen. Now the person (people object) opens in side and main panel. I tested this with multiple object types and all of them act the same. So always "over opens" the main panel with the meeting object + opens in side panel. I tested with other objects in main panel too, same issue here. basically I can not shift open anything any longer since it opens in main and side panel. CMD click to open in new tab is also not working :/
This is happening for me as well. It's when I shift and click on an object that is linked in the property of another object. So for example, if I have a meeting open and there is a person in that meeting, I shift click on their name because I want to see their details and the person object opens both in the main panel and the side panel. I would expect the main panel to still show the meeting, and to just see the person in the side panel, but both show the person.
