Cursor spontaneously jumps to start of line
I've noticed that the last 2 days the cursor has been jumping to the start of a line when I try and type. So if I put my cursor after some text to edit or amend it or to type into my template prompts, the typing shows up at the beginning of a line rather than where I put my cursor at the end of a line. If I put the cursor at the end of a line and hit return to start a new line, the new line is added above rather than below the line I'm on. The only trick that seems to work is to use the arrow keys to then move the cursor back to the end of a line where I had originally put it and then it lets me type. This issue seems to come and go. It happens in Daily Notes but also in Areas. The issue happens when I am working on the web version (Firefox, Windows 11, Dell Latitude) on my work laptop (I'm not allowed apps).

I have this same issue with any text block (daily notes, notes, pages, etc). I select the end of the block to place the cursor, but when I go to type, it jumps to the to the top of that text block. Only seems to happen on Firefox (Mac and Windows). So far I haven't been able to recreate the problem on any other browser or on the Mac app.
Thanks Beth! My template prompts are in my Daily Note template called "Workday". I'm not using AI or AI chat. I'm using full screen (with side panel open, as screen shot below). I experience this issue in other windows (Area) using template. I haven't noticed if it's dependent on a template or full screen or preview, but I'll try and keep a note of the context. - Katie
·4 days agoThanks Katie! Do you remember where the cursor was when you noticed this (I'm wondering if it was in a column or the table specifically), or is it on any line in that layout?
Not in a table. My prompts are in a column, though. I'll have to observe if there is a difference between being in a column (much of my Daily notes) or on a regular line. I know if I type the "end" key then it lets me type at the end of the line instead of having to use the arrows to move to the end of the line to type.
·5 days agoHi @Katie Makarcould you share where your template prompts are? Is it an object type, a template within it, something you're editing in the AI chat specifically? Are you doing this in the preview window in the middle of the screen, the side panel or full screen? Thanks!

I have this exact same problem. Happening in Firefox but also on my mobile app.
It's particularly frustrating with new lines. When I hit enter it creates a bullet point or new line ABOVE my current line. It is consistent. The only workaround seems to be to use my arrow keys to go to the very "bottom" of the page (if the line I'm on is the last one) then it sometimes works, or to use Alt+arrow every time to move the new line down.
