Floating toolbar for editing text started causing lag

I'm selecting text and when the toolbar appears, it causes a lot of lag. Only a couple seconds after I can click the @ symbol and then wait again for the dropdown and all the options to load and then wait again before I can click an option.

This has never happened before, but I didn't open capacities the last ~10 days and found this today. I'm on mac and using the webapp in chrome browser
