Recurring Task - The Yesterday-Issue

When a daily recurring task has been left undone for more than two days, it is currently difficult - or perhaps impossible - to mark it as completed for yesterday.

When I mark the task as done, I am asked whether it should be completed for today or for the first day on which I missed it. However, there is no option to mark it as completed for yesterday.
