PDF Analysis Truncates at ~30 Pages Despite Available AI Budget

Hi Capacities Team,

I'm reporting a technical issue with PDF document analysis. The analysis consistently stops after approximately 30 pages, even though I have available AI budget remaining on my account.

**Issue:**When analyzing a large PDF file, the analysis feature truncates and returns only the first ~30 pages of content. The limitation persists even though my account has sufficient AI budget remaining for processing.

Details:

  • PDF File: "A Arquitetura da Cidade" by Aldo Rossi
  • Total Pages: 160
  • File Size: 82.3 MB
  • File Format: PDF 1.7 (image-based/scanned document)
  • Analysis Result: Returns content from pages 1-30 only
  • Reader View: Shows same truncation behavior
  • AI Budget Status: AVAILABLE (not depleted)
  • Attempted: Multiple re-runs with same result

**Expected Behavior:**The PDF should be fully analyzed up to the available page count. If there's a hard limit, it should either:

  1. Be documented clearly
  2. Stop processing and notify the user (instead of silently truncating)
  3. Offer a workaround for large documents

**Context:**I found a community discussion where your team mentioned a "technical length limit" due to AI budget constraints. However, since I have available budget, the issue appears to be a hard-coded page limit rather than a budget issue.

Request:

  1. Is there a documented hard page limit for PDF analysis?
  2. If yes, why does it apply when budget is available?
  3. Can this limit be increased or made configurable?
  4. What's the recommended workflow for analyzing large PDFs (160+ pages)?

Thank you for clarifying this technical limitation.

Best regards

The documentation notes a technical length limit for PDF analysis but does not specify a fixed page limit: https://docs.capacities.io/reference/basic-types/pdfs#pdf-analysis. Please add your Capacities app version, operating system, and whether the same truncation occurs with other large or scanned PDFs so the team can investigate.
