Ctrl Shift T for a new Task doesn't work when text editor active

Pressing Ctrl Shift T for a new task doesn't work reliably when editing a text block. It would be much better if it worked even while editing text. At the moment you have to click out of the text editor on something non-editable which defeats the purpose of a keyboard shortcut.
