Allow for leading zero on a Number field

When I create a Number field in an Object, I sometimes want to use that for phone numbers. In Australia, mobile numbers start with a zero, eg: 0404 000 000. Additionally, most landline phone numbers also start with a zero (for the area code). For example, 02 65 555 555.

When I enter these numbers into the field, Capacities instantly drops the leading zero off the phone number.

Would it be possible to allow for a leading zero, or, as part of the "Type" of Number, can you include a "Type" called "Phone Number" and allow for a leading zero.
