Can’t Paste link from Safari on iOS

If I copy a link from Safari by pressing share and then copy link and then going into a Capacities page and trying to paste it, nothing appears. If I instead create a link inside the text it’s working normally

Capacities v1.59.1 (Nightly); Apple iPhone; iOS v18.7; WebKit v605.1.15 (WebKit v605.1.15); Mobile (Capacitor); 3.3.2026, 17:46:36; en-gb (Europe/Berlin, UTC+1)

Encountered this bug too.

It happens when inserting a URL using the native iOS share sheet dialog:

  1. empty block + paste → block gets deleted
  2. Block with text + paste → no content pasted, cursor jumps to beginning of block
  3. after pasting, the toolbar is empty (no formatting options etc visible)

Reproducible in Safari and Firefox

Chrome and Vivaldi are working as expected.

Have not tested other apps.

This is a bug I also logged. Here is the ticket https://feedback.capacities.io/b/1v35e680/feature-ideas/pasting-from-ios-share-sheet-not-working

It doesn't work when using the share sheet from other apps (not only Safari).
