Linked People Disappear From Templates

In my Meeting object is a linked field for people. Works great.

I have several templates for meetings with certain people that include the people pre-filled in. When I use various templates including people to create new meetings, the People are regularly absent and I have to reselect them. This doesn't happen with other linked fields I have for organization, projects, etc.

It has happened consistently for months. Is there something obvious that would cause this?

Ian Drummond thanks for sharing in such detail. Is the people property a select or text property? Does this happen for all templates or just this one? What happens if you recreate the template from scratch and apply the new one?

Thanks for reporting this, that’s not expected behavior and there’s nothing in the template or object property settings that should selectively drop linked People while keeping other linked fields intact. Since it’s been happening consistently for months, this likely needs a closer look from the team as a bug. If you haven’t already, it would help to add details here (screenshots, whether it’s specific templates, any two-way linking on the People property, etc.). For reference on how templates and object properties should behave, see: https://docs.capacities.io/reference/templates and https://docs.capacities.io/reference/object-properties.
